Past all the houses the river
dwindles down to a narrow channel. Trees line the
banks of the river, and interesting little side-trails
appear every now and then.
This
is fresh water, with the usual plants that grow in
this area... cabbage
palms, scrub palmetto, scrub oak, and brazillian peppers
mostly.
Large ferns line the
banks in some spots, with cabbage palms rising above them.
This quiet little
dead-end was completely enclosed by a wall of trees and
vines.
Our driver turned
us around and headed back to the marina.
