Lots of turtles come up to the
canoe dock, but a sign at the entrance prohibits feeding
them.
As we looked down from the
bluff several canoes came into view.
You can rent canoes at a local
marina and paddle into the Sanctuary. The water isn't
very deep, but you will get to see manatees, alligators,
birds, turtles and plants as you glide through the shady
overhang of the thick vegetation.
