The "Tree House".

There are benches at the end of this deck, and you can sit and listen to the wind in the trees and the calling of the birds and squirrels.

Branches, vines and leaves make a thick shady canopy.

Lichens and mosses grow on the bark of a dead tree.

Roots hang down in a thick red curtain, drawing nutrients from the air to feed their parent plant.

On our way out of the Sanctuary we left the boardwalk and took to the dirt trails

Cactus, wire grass, moss and pine needles cover the ground in dry areas.
