There are lots of paddling clubs out there, and that would
probably be a lot of fun if you found the right group. I
found that once I had bought my boat and gear I didn't have
any money left over for membership fees. Some of them seem
to do nothing but have meetings, and I don't need any more
of that! There is still good information to be found on some
of their sites, even if you don't join.
